How to get a Virgin Plus eSIM
You can get a Virgin Plus eSIM either when activating a new line or by switching your existing Virgin Plus service to an eSIM.
If you’re activating a new Virgin Plus line
You can choose an eSIM instead of a physical SIM when you sign up for a monthly plan online or in a Virgin Plus store. Afterward, you will get instructions on how to download and install your eSIM.
Keep in mind that you can save $80 by buying online, as the service connection fee is waived if you purchase your plan online.
If you’re an existing Virgin Plus customer
You can switch your current Virgin Plus service to an eSIM through My Account or, if your device supports it, using eSIM Quick Transfer.
How to install according to the type of device
Once your eSIM has been activated, the installation steps depend on your device and how you set up your line.
If you bought a new device from Virgin Plus, turn on your phone and complete the initial setup on screen. The eSIM will install automatically as part of the device setup.
If you’re upgrading to a new phone, transfer your existing Virgin Plus service to your new device using the phone’s built-in eSIM transfer feature or Apple/Samsung/Google transfer steps.
If you activated an eSIM on your own device, use the installation steps for your device below. If you’re switching from another carrier, make sure your number transfer is completed first before installing the eSIM.
Virgin Plus eSIM activation
You may see one or more of these options depending on how you activated your line:

2. Through a device notification
You will receive a message saying your cellular plan is ready to install after activation.
Tap the notification and follow the on-screen steps. If you missed it, you can find it in your device settings.
3. Using a Virgin Plus eSIM QR code or activation code
If the above options aren’t available, you can install your eSIM using a QR code or by entering the activation details manually.
