No local phone number
This eSIM only includes data, it does not allow to make traditional calls or to send SMS. Use WhatsApp or Skype to call all your contacts.
Your phone must be compatible with eSIM
Make sure your smartphone is one of these: Apple iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, and Google Pixel 3 and that it’s unlocked.
Install before travelling and leave off
Scan the QR from your mobile preferences and add the data plan. Do not activate it until you land at your destination, where you will only have to activate roaming and the plan. Take the printed QR with you just in case.

Your data plan starts the moment you activate your eSIM after you scan the QR code on your smartphone.
Currently, you can not renew the data plan associated to you eSIM. However, you can purchase another eSIM if you need more data, or extend your internet connection period at your country of destination.
This eSIM only allows the use of mobile data, it does not include a local phone number to receive or send calls or SMS.
Yes, with this eSIM you can share data with other devices via a wifi connection. Please refer to your device’s manual on how to share data.
Currently only the following devices are compatible with the Holafly eSIM: iPhone XS and XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, 11 Pro y 11 Pro Max and Google Pixel 3. Some iPad models are also compatible (iPad Pro 11 and 12,9 inches 3rd generation, iPad Air 3rd generation, iPad 7th generation, and iPad Mini 5th generation), and Apple Watch Series 4. Make sure your smartphone is unlocked.
After the purchase, we will send you an email with a QR code. We recommend you to set up the line in your device before your departure. Once the QR code is displayed on your computer screen, scan it with the smartphone that you will be using. Go to Settings> Mobile Data> Add Data Plan. Your smartphone will allow you to assign a specific name to the new data plan. You will be able to differentiate between your current data plan, and the new data plan provided by the eSim. You can choose which data plan you want to use at any time. Before you travel, keep the line of the company that you normally use as your preferred line, and link it to all your services and phone calls. Remember that the data plan provided by the Holafly eSim will not be operational until you arrive at your destination. When you arrive, all you have to do is activate data roaming in your smartphone, and activate the line that you set up before your departure. You can look up the user manual for iOS and Android. All the eSim come with setup instructions.
Once you purchase an eSIM, you will receive immediately a confirmation email with the QR code. Please be aware that no refunds will be given once you purchase the eSim.
Setup your profile before your departure. Once you reach your destination, all you have to do is activate the data plan, and the data roaming. We recommend you to print to QR code, or have it available on another device so you can scan it. In case you do not set up the data plan of your eSim before your departure, you will need a Wifi connection at the airport. The setup is quick and you will be able to enjoy your data plan right away.
To keep your number on WhatsApp you do not need to configure anything. If you do not activate a new number on WhatsApp you always keep your old number.
You can check your data balance from the utility “Data roaming usage” in your device, or by looking at the statistics of data usage. Currently our support team is unable to notify you how much data you have consumed.
In most cases your Holafly eSIM will offer you maximum speed coverage (4GLTE) just like any other local data line. However, take into account that in areas of limited coverage your device may get a lower speed connection.
Your eSIM can only be used in one device. If you delete the eSIM card from the device, you may not be able to reuse it again. You cannot scan the same QR code from two different devices.
Yes. To ensure that you eSIM gets the best coverage, you must activate data roaming. Activating this option will not represent any extra charge for you, nor will you receive unexpected bills, as long as you set up the eSIM from Holafly for your mobile data.

If you are using an Apple device, you can use your SIM card and your eSim at the same time. Choose the Sim card for phone calls and SMS, and Holafly eSIM for data from your device. Please remember that if you leave your Sim card activated, your network provider may apply data roaming charges to receive or make phone calls as well as SMS.
If you spend all your data or days of validity, your eSIM card will no longer work and you will lose Internet connection.
The eSIM is a digital product. Once the eSIM is delivered, it will be regarded as used. Holafly cannot check if you have used the data plan associated with the eSIM card. Therefore, once we deliver the QR code to your email, we can not offer you a refund. You can consult our eSIM Refund Policy for more information.
