How to get and activate a Lucky Mobile eSIM in Canada
Step-by-step guide to Lucky Mobile eSIMs: activation, installation, supported phones, and how to switch from a physical SIM.
Lucky Mobile is a sub-brand of Bell, one of Canada’s largest telecom companies. It offers affordable prepaid plans with Canada-wide coverage, making it a budget-friendly option for staying connected with both eSIMs and physical cards.
Whether you’re already using Lucky Mobile and thinking about switching from a physical SIM, or considering moving from another Canadian carrier, setting up a Lucky Mobile eSIM is quick and straightforward. In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know — from plans and compatibility to where to get an eSIM and how to activate it step-by-step.
Lucky Mobile does not offer data roaming outside Canada, but you can add international calling options to stay in touch with family and friends abroad. This article focuses on local usage in Canada only. If you’re planning international travel and need mobile data outside Canada, we’ll introduce a travel eSIM alternative, Holafly, later in this guide.

Lucky Mobile eSIM plans
Lucky Mobile offers prepaid plans only, giving customers the flexibility to manage their spending without contracts. All plans include Canada-wide coverage, and you can add international calling options to stay connected when travelling abroad. eSIM activation is free, while physical SIM cards cost $10 if purchased at a retail or online shop.
Below is a quick overview of Lucky Mobile’s current monthly plans:

Extra data and international calling add-ons are available if needed. Data speeds may be reduced to 128 Kbps after your monthly data limit is reached, but you won’t pay overages.
Lucky Mobile eSIM-compatible devices
Most new smartphones now include eSIM support, and Lucky Mobile eSIMs work with most of these popular devices, such as iPhone XR or newer and Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer. If you’re unsure whether your current phone supports eSIM, you can check during activation or use Lucky Mobile’s IMEI compatibility tool before you switch.
Note: Lucky Mobile eSIMs do not support smartwatches, including Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, and Google Pixel Watch.
