- The 12-month plans include two variations: 290 GB (plus unlimited calls and texts) for $300 AUD and 365 GB (plus unlimited calls and texts) for $305 AUD.
- The starter plan includes 5 GB, unlimited calls and texts, with a seven-day expiry for $13 AUD.
How to get a Boost eSIM
To get a Boost Mobile eSIM, download the My Boost Mobile app and select “Buy a prepaid plan on eSIM”. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your purchase. Once your Boost Mobile eSIM order has been processed, there are two ways you can activate your eSIM.
Activate a Boost eSIM via QR code
The first way consists of scanning a QR code sent to you in the Boost eSIM purchase confirmation email. Ensure you have a stable WiFi connection first before proceeding with the installation. Here’s what you need to do next, depending on your device:
- Set up eSIM on iPhone: Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Add eSIM > Use QR code. Then scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
- Set up eSIM on Samsung: Go to Device Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan Carrier QR code. Scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup. A similar process applies to all Android devices, though some steps may differ slightly.
- Set up eSIM on Google Pixel: Go to Device Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Download a SIM instead > choose to add via a QR code. Scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
You might have to add APN details on the Cellular Data page. You can find the details in the eSIM installation information on your order/account.
Activate a Boost eSIM manually
You can also install your Boost eSIM manually if scanning the QR code doesn’t work. Follow the steps below:
- Save the SM-DP+ Address and Activation code received in your order email or on the Boost Mobile app.
- Head to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > Cellular Data.
- Select “Enter Details Manually”.
- Enter the SM-DP + Address and Activation Code.
- Choose a label for your eSIM or create one.
- Select your newly activated eSIM plan and toggle the on switch to turn it on the line.
This process might look slightly different on various devices.
Your eSIM will probably take a few minutes to install with both methods. Once this is done, Boost Mobile typically sends a message/email confirming your eSIM profile has been downloaded, and the activation process is complete.
Here’s how you can ensure it is active:
- iPhone: Settings > Mobile > Look for “Boost Mobile” under eSIM.
- Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs/SIM Manager > “Boost Mobile” should be listed as an active SIM.
