O2 travel eSIM: How to use O2 outside the UK
Learn how to get data outside of the UK with an O2 travel eSIM. Our guide outlines coverage, price, data plans, minutes of calls included, and ease of use.
If you’re an O2 customer planning on using an eSIM for your next international trip, then an O2 travel eSIM might be a great choice.
In this guide, we help you decide whether an O2 travel eSIM is right for you by looking into plans and pricing, coverage, and ease of use. We also present Holafly as an unlimited data eSIM alternative if you need more data and wider coverage.

Does O2 sell travel eSIMs for outside the UK?
Although O2 doesn’t sell travel eSIMs directly, you can get an eSIM for Europe from third-party websites, such as eSIM.net.
If you want to stick with O2 for other international destinations, you’ll need to rely on O2’s international data roaming through your existing plan, which may include travel passes, roaming add-ons, or pay-as-you-go rates depending on your location.
O2’s pay-as-you-go bundles and rolling plans offer up to 25 GB of data for use across Europe. However, they’re only available as physical SIMs. So while there are O2 tourist SIM cards available, there are no eSIM options currently on offer.

Travel abroad using O2 international roaming
Depending on your needs, you can explore O2’s international roaming options instead. Whether you’re using O2 roaming in Europe, O2 roaming in the USA, or travelling from the UK to another international destination, O2 lets you stay connected with their travel-inclusive, travel pass, and pay-as-you-go plans like the O2 tourist SIM.
However, roaming charges can add up quickly without you noticing. To give you an idea, pay-as-you-go roaming plans can cost as much as £7.20 per MB, depending on the country/region. It may be a good idea to explore unlimited data options, such as Holafly, if you expect high data usage.
