Does ALDI Mobile support eSIM?
Yes, ALDI Mobile has started to offer eSIMs with all available plans, including Family Plans, from October 2025. Existing users with physical SIM cards can also now switch to an ALDI eSIM.

- Mobile Plans: Main features include 12 GB to 175 GB data allowances, unlimited standard calls and SMS for $23 to $59 AUD/month.
- Family Plans: Main features include 50 GB to 150 GB shared data allowances, unlimited standard calls and SMS for $55 to $125 AUD/month.
- Data Plans: Main features include 30 GB to 365 GB data allowances for $95 to $365 AUD with 365-day expiry periods.
- Long Life Plans: 300 GB data, unlimited standard calls and SMS for $289 AUD for 365 days.
- Pay As You Go: Includes $2 AUD SIM starter pack, $15/25/35 AUD top-ups, standard call/SMS/data rates.

How to get an ALDI eSIM
Buying an ALDI eSIM is simple. All you have to do is:
- Head to ALDI Mobile’s official website to browse through plans.
- Create an account and enter any personal details (may include address, bank details, and identification documents)
- Choose the eSIM option during checkout for your desired plan.
- Wait for the confirmation email containing further information on how to install your ALDI eSIM.
How to activate your eSIM from ALDI via QR code
Once your new eSIM activation order is processed, you’ll receive an email containing a QR code to install your eSIM profile. If you’re choosing a Family Plan, as a Family Plan owner, you’ll be able to select which services use eSIM. Each eSIM service will receive its own QR code.
Connect to a stable WiFi network first to ensure a successful installation. Installing and activating your eSIM may look slightly different, depending on your phone:
- Set up eSIM on iPhone: Go to Settings > Mobile Service > Add eSIM > Use QR code. Then scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
- Set up eSIM on Samsung: Go to Device Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add Mobile Plan > Scan Carrier QR code. Scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup. A similar process applies to all Android devices, though some steps may differ slightly.
- Set up eSIM on Google Pixel: Go to Device Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Download a SIM instead > choose to add via a QR code. Scan the QR code from your email and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
Your eSIM may take a few minutes to activate. Once it does, ALDI eSIM will send you an SMS on your mobile phone to confirm.
If you’re interested in having both a physical Australia SIM card and/or an eSIM on a dual SIM phone, you’ll have to purchase separate services for both.
Switch from an ALDI physical SIM to an eSIM
If you want to swap a physical SIM for an ALDI eSIM, your entire service will transfer, including number, plan, and credit.
Once the switch is completed, your physical SIM will stop working permanently. Request a swap by contacting the ALDI team, and they’ll send you a QR code. Follow the process above to activate your eSIM.
