Breeze eSIM plans and pricing
Breeze’s single-country, regional, and multi-country plans are split into different package types, depending on whether you want a fixed amount of data, or daily data for a fixed duration.
Before you start to pick a Breeze plan, make sure your phone is eSIM compatible. You might also want to learn more about how to set up your eSIM so the process runs smoothly once you’ve picked a package.
When you choose a plan, think carefully about how much data you need for your trip. If you’re a pretty light data user – think emails, messaging and browsing – you might only need 1 GB or so every few days. But if you like to stream, download movies, and use video chat, your data needs are going to be far higher. Bear in mind also that the way you use your phone when you’re away from home might vary, with more need for maps, translation apps, video calling friends and family, and looking for destination reviews.
Here’s a breakdown of how Breeze eSIM plans and pricing works for some popular packages and destinations.
Breeze single country plans

Breeze has single country eSIM plans for 190+ countries. There are two different package types, which allows you to decide based on how much data you tend to use when you travel, as well as the length of your trip.
Fixed plans are available from 1GB – 50GB of data, which always have a 30 day usage period. To give an idea of the costs involved, here are the prices for different packages for a trip to the USA, a short hop over to France, or that dream Bali beach break.
Country | 5GB for 30 days | 10GB for 30 days | 20GB for 30 days |
---|---|---|---|
USA | £12 GBP/ $15 USD | £19 GBP/ $25 USD | £31 GBP/ $41 USD |
France | £10 GBP/ $12.5 USD | £17 GBP/ $22 USD | £26 GBP/ $35 USD |
Indonesia | £8 GBP/ $10.5 USD | £14 GBP/ $18 USD | £24 GBP/ $31 USD |
If you’d prefer an ‘unlimited’ plan, you can pay per day, with packages from 1 – 30 days available.
Let’s take a look at the price ranges for unlimited Breeze eSIM packages for a few different time ranges.
Country | 1GB per day for 7 days | 1GB per day for 10 days | 1GB per day for 15 days |
---|---|---|---|
USA | £17 GBP/ $22 USD | £22 GBP/ $29 USD | £26 GBP/ $35 USD |
France | £15 GBP/ $19 USD | £19 GBP/ $25 USD | £23 GBP/ $30 USD |
Indonesia | £16 GBP/ $20.5 USD | £22 GBP/ $28.5 USD | £32 GBP/ $42 USD |

Breeze regional plans

Breeze regional plans, like the single country plans, have two different options – buy a fixed amount of data to use over a 30 day period, or pay per day for 1GB of fast data access daily for as long as you need, from the package options available.
Bear in mind for unlimited packs you can’t custom select your trip length – so if you’re away for an unusual duration, like 8 or 9 days for example, you might need to buy more than one package to cover you.
There are also some notable omissions from the Breeze regional plans, which we’ll look at in more detail later. The Asia plan doesn’t cover Japan or Korea, for example, which may be an issue on a multi-destination trip. Look carefully at the inclusions before you sign up to make sure the package suits your needs.
Here’s a summary of the Breeze regional plans you can choose from:

Features of Breeze eSIM
We’ve looked at the different options for your Breeze eSIM which basically break down as follows:
- Breeze fixed plans offer high-speed data up to 5G where available, with a set amount of data to use in a 1 – 30 day window
- Breeze unlimited plans get you 1GB of full high-speed up to 5G where available per day – once exhausted your data speed is reduced until the next day
It’s important to note that these unlimited plans do have fair usage restrictions. After you’ve used 1GB of data in any given 24 hour period, your data speeds will slow down until the following day. If you’re a heavy data user, streaming movies as you travel for example, this can be a hassle.
Drawbacks of Breeze eSIM
The Breeze eSIM isn’t going to be the right choice for everyone. There are a few important drawbacks to consider before you choose your package.
Set validity and data limits on some plans
While there are quite a few plan options from Breeze eSIM, the packages aren’t necessarily all that flexible. For the global eSIM for example, if you want unlimited access the longest duration available is 7 days. And if you’re looking to buy a fixed amount of data instead, the most you can get is 10GB.
If you need longer – or more data – you’ll have to buy more than one package from Breeze part way through your trip.
Missing countries from regional plans
As we’ve seen, some of the regional plans have countries missing – like Korea and Japan in the Asia plan. There are also a couple of countries missing from the Latin America package – Bolivia and Venezuela. Look carefully at the inclusions on the package you pick if you’ll be going to several countries in succession.
No talk time or SMS
Your Breeze eSIM doesn’t support SMS messaging or talk time. While you’ll still be able to use your physical SIM for these services if you need them, there may be a charge from your network provider. Avoid this by using web and app based messaging and call services like WhatsApp if possible.
Breeze eSIM: Coverage and service quality
The Breeze eSIM offers high-speed data up to 5G where available, in 190+ countries. As you may expect, 5G network access is dependent on local network coverage, and so the actual achievable speed might depend on the networks Breeze partners with in your specific destination.
Breeze eSIM user experience

Breeze has a chat support bot called SIMon which is your first point of contact for any questions or queries. If you have an account already you can sign in to get personalised help, or you can use the bot as a guest. For simple questions there are also lots of helpful guides, FAQs and video resources which can help you navigate the Breeze eSIM product.
If you have an issue and need a refund, you’ll have to log into your account and open a chat with SIMon. Your ticket will be logged and passed to a human agent who will get back to you to let you know if a refund is available based on the situation.
Breeze eSIM review from other customers
Picking an eSIM which has a good reputation with existing customers gives you some assurance that you’re getting a good product. You can get the latest from any Breeze eSIM review on Reddit, or through a review aggregation site like Trustpilot. Or you can check out the App Store and Google Play for up to date eSIM Breeze reviews for iPhone and Android, so you can get a feel for how intuitive the apps are.
This can be handy before you buy, but also if you find your Breeze eSIM’s not working, as you’ll be quickly able to see if other users have faced similar issues.
What happens if I run out of data using a Breeze eSIM?
You’ll get a notification from Breeze when you’re close to using up your data package. If you need more data you can then choose to top up your plan in the Breeze app. If you have completely run out of eSIM data though, you’ll need to find a local WiFi network to manage your top up, which can be a hassle.
To buy more data, log into the Breeze eSIM app and find the eSIM you’re using. You can then tap the Top Up option to see the different data bundles which are available. Select the package you want to add to your account and follow the onscreen prompts to get your eSIM up and running again.
If you’d rather avoid the stress or running low on data mid-trip, try an eSIM with unlimited data from Holafly. Just buy a package for the duration and destination you need, and get unlimited data, including some you can share with your friends, family and fellow travellers.
Breeze eSIM overview
The Breeze eSIM is available for use in 190+ countries, on single and multi-country packages. Depending on your normal data usage, you can choose a daily plan with 1GB per day, or a fixed amount of data which you can use over the course of anything from 1 – 30 days.
While this does give some decent flexibility, the fact you can’t fully tailor your plan can be a drawback, and may mean you have to buy more than one package to cover your travel.
