How to get an Ubigi eSIM?
Head to Ubigi’s official website and follow these instructions:
- Add your desired destination in the search section.
- Choose your eSIM type (one-off, monthly, or annual), allowance, and validity from the available options.
- Before purchasing, double-check your eSIM’s network coverage and data plan information. Also, make sure your phone is eSIM-compatible. If you’re a previous customer, you can choose to top up your old eSIM.
- Enter your payment information using Apple/Google Pay or any available debit/credit card.
- After completing the payment, a QR code will be sent to your email. Scan this code to install your Ubigi eSIM.
- Your plan will automatically activate upon arrival at your destination. If the plan isn’t activated within 6 months of purchase, it will expire.
- Download the Ubigi app to check your balance and top up.

The eSIM Ubigi works with 3G/4G/5G networks, depending on the destination. You can check which network your eSIM will be using, as the partner network providers are listed for each plan.

Data plans and prices
Let’s talk about the different data plans from Ubigi. There are three plan types: one-off, monthly, and annual. Here’s what you need to know about each of them:

Refunds are only available if you have not used any data from your purchased plan. Once you’ve started using your data plan—even if you’ve only used a small amount—your refund request will be denied.
However, there’s an exception: if you’re unable to use the data plan because your device is carrier-locked or eSIM-incompatible, a refund may still be possible. If your phone is carrier-locked, you can contact your original carrier and request it to be unlocked by providing your device’s IMEI number (found in settings).
Important: Preloaded eSIM data plans provided as QR codes remain valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
For recharges/top-ups purchased through your Ubigi account:
If you’ve recharged your existing Ubigi account (via the app or ubigi.me), purchased data plans cannot be refunded once you’ve started using the service. Refunds may be available only if there are proven technical issues caused by Ubigi that prevent you from activating the service. Keep in mind that top-ups on Ubigi eSIMs are not eligible for refunds once you’ve started using the service.
Additional refund restrictions:
- Data plan replacements are not possible
- Transferring data plans to other Ubigi accounts is not allowed
Important: Make sure you don’t delete your Ubigi eSIM before you’ve filed your refund request, and it has been fully processed, as customer support may ask you to provide details related to the eSIM.
How to request a refund:
To initiate a refund, contact Ubigi’s customer service team via their online form and attach your payment receipt within 14 business days of the purchase date (or the date the technical issue occurred). If eligible, refunds are processed within 10 business days through your original payment method.
Cancellation policy:
One-off plans simply expire at the end of their validity period. For monthly or annual plans, you can cancel at any time, though annual plans require payment of the full year upfront.
