With Always On, you can keep using essentials like messages, maps, email, and the Holafly app or website, even after you’ve canceled your plan. When and how Always On activates?

Your Always On benefit activates automatically a few hours after your billing cycle ends, not immediately after you cancel your plan. To start using your 1 GB of free data, make sure your Holafly eSIM is still installed and active on your device.

Where Always On is available?

The Always On benefit works in Holafly’s 76 main destinations. Even if your plan originally included coverage in over 170 countries, this feature only applies to the destinations listed below. Before you travel, check the updated country list to confirm that Always On is available where you’re headed, and enjoy your 1 GB of free data without interruptions.

Duration and usage conditions

The Holafly Always On benefit doesn’t expire; you’ll keep receiving 1 GB of free data every month as long as you meet a few simple requirements: 

  • Make sure to keep your Holafly eSIM installed and use the benefit at least once within 12 months to continue enjoying it. 
  • Don’t try to transfer your eSIM to a new device, as transfers between phones aren’t supported yet on Holafly and doing so would delete your current eSIM.
  • If you delete your eSIM after canceling your subscription, you’ll lose access to Always On, so it’s better to deactivate it instead of removing it from your device.

To keep in mind

  • Always On is available for Light, Unlimited, and the upcoming All In plans. It’s not included in Holafly’s prepaid eSIMs by days.
  • This benefit is available only in Holafly’s 76 main destinations, which may differ from the full list of countries included in your canceled subscription.
  • The 1 GB data isn’t cumulative. Each month, you’ll get a new allowance, regardless of the previous usage.
  • If you have multiple canceled Holafly Plans eSIMs still installed, you’ll receive 1 GB of free data for each subscription.
  • If you don’t want the benefit, simply delete the eSIM from your phone. Keep in mind that once you remove it, you’ll permanently lose access to your monthly 1 GB of free data.
  • Always On activates only after your billing cycle ends.
  • Make sure to keep your personal SIM or eSIM turned off to avoid roaming charges from your local carrier.
  • While data sharing is possible, we don’t recommend using Always On as a mobile hotspot, since the 1 GB monthly limit can run out quickly. 
  • If your phone is lost or stolen, contact Holafly Support to request a one-time eSIM replacement.

Troubleshooting tips

1. If you think Always On didn’t activate correctly, try these steps:

  • Check that your billing cycle has fully ended.
  • Make sure your eSIM is still installed and not deleted.
  • Turn on your eSIM the same way you did the first time.
  • Confirm you are in a country where Always On is available.
  • Restart your phone and verify that mobile data is enabled.

2. If you still can’t activate your 1 GB of free data, contact Holafly Support for manual activation. Include your purchase email, the eSIM ICCID, and the exact cancellation date, so our team can review your case and enable the benefit for you.
