Spirit Airlines has shut down: 4 things every passenger needs to do right now

Spirit Airlines has shut down after beginning an orderly wind-down on May 2, following a second bankruptcy filing.

It should be noted that this is not a new occurrence, as flight disruptions are more common than most travelers expect, even if this one is unusually large. 

Step 1: Check how you paid for your Spirit ticket
