The Ting eSIM activation process is split into two. Here’s what you need to know about each:

- Go to the Ting website and complete the IMEI verification. You might need to check IMEI 1 and IMEI 2, as one might not be eSIM-compatible.
- Choose the “Get an eSIM” option.
- You’ll receive an email from Ting Mobile with your QR code and a manual activation code.
- Activation on your mobile phone.
- eSIM activation on Samsung: Go to “Settings,” then “Connections,” and tap on “SIM Manager.” Tap “Add eSIM” and scan the QR code. If this doesn’t work, use the manual activation code.
- eSIM activation on iPhone: Go to “Settings,” then “Cellular.” Tap “Add eSIM” and scan the QR code. If this doesn’t work, use the manual code instead.
For other Android devices, the process is similar, allowing you to quickly activate your Ting cellular plan on Motorola, Google Pixel, Huawei, and other eSIM-compatible devices.
How to transfer
If you’re transferring a number on Ting, here’s the 10-step process to follow:
- Create and log in to your Ting account.
- Visit the “Device Settings” menu and choose “Activate a device.”
- Enter your phone IMEI to verify it’s compatible with Ting Mobile.
- Choose the “eSIM” option and tap on “Continue.”
- Check your coverage by entering your address to continue.
- On the “Move a number” menu, use the dropdown menu and choose the number to transfer, then click “Continue.”
- Update your billing information, if necessary.
- Review the transfer and activation process. If everything is ok, press “Activate.”
- Ting will either automatically download the eSIM or send a QR code to complete the activation.
- Follow the previous activation steps as required on your phone (Android or iPhone).
