Tesco Mobile groups destinations into zones, including a Home from Home zone, which primarily consists of EU roaming destinations. The table below lists all Home from Home countries.

Home from Home EU destinations

Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Réunion, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Barts, St. Martin, Sweden, Switzerland, and Vatican City.

Outside of these zones, charges for the “Rest of the World” vary and are usually higher.

Roaming with Tesco Mobile varies based on your destination and whether you’re a pay-monthly, pay-as-you-go, or business customer.

Roaming in EU destinations (Home from Home)

As a pay-monthly customer, you can roam in a Home from Home destination with your existing UK allowances. Calling and texting come out of your monthly allowance or free credit. Data usage is also based on your monthly allowance, but is capped.

If you have a safety buffer on your account, you can choose what you spend on data and your data cap. If you have an older plan without a safety buffer, Tesco Mobile caps data usage abroad at £40 a month. If you reach your limit, Tesco Mobile will place a usage limit on your account that you can remove by logging in to your pay-monthly account.

No matter how much data you use in any given month abroad, you’ll never be charged more than £40.

Roaming in a non-Home From Home destination

If you’re abroad but not in one of the 48 destinations mentioned in the table above, you’ll be charged for calling, texting, and using mobile data.

Costs depend on your location and region. Destinations in regions 3 and 4 can incur the following charges:

Calling from region to region/the UK: £1.249 per minute
Text from region 2/3/4: £0.40 per text
