There are three prepaid Spectrum mobile eSIM plans: two are monthly plans, and the third one is a monthly pay-as-you-go-type plan
Here’s what each plan includes, and its pricing:
- By the Gig: $20/month. Includes 1 GB and charges $5 for every additional GB. No texts and calls included.
- Unlimited: $30/month. Includes unlimited data, texts, and calls, 5 GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data with unlimited at reduced speeds, free international texting, and 2,000 minutes for international calling to Mexico and Canada.
- Unlimited Plus: $40/month. Includes unlimited data, texts, and calls, 10 GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data with unlimited at reduced speeds, free international texting, 2,000 minutes for international calling to Mexico and Canada, and free roaming in over 190 countries.
Spectrum eSIM plans are pretty complete, but here are some details to consider for the Unlimited and Unlimited Plus ones:
- Free data roaming speeds on Unlimited Plus are reduced after spending 10 GB.
- Both plans’ unlimited data speeds are reduced after consuming 30 GB and 50 GB, respectively.
- Pay-per-use calling is available on both plans to over 190 destinations after using the 2,000 monthly minutes.
- There’s a one-time activation fee of $20 on every eSIM Spectrum plan.
Spectrum eSIM-compatible phones
Currently, Spectrum doesn’t work with all eSIM-compatible devices. Their service works on Samsung, LG, Google, Motorola, Apple, Orbic, and TCL as of 2026.
Other eSIM-compatible devices aren’t listed on their Bring Your Own Device site, meaning they don’t have support for other brands, so consider using a Holafly eSIM instead.

How to activate
If you buy your plan in-store, ask a store agent to help you with the Spectrum Mobile eSIM activation to make things easier.
If you buy your plan online, here’s how to activate it on Android and iOS devices.
- eSIM activation on iPhone: Open “Settings,” and go to “Cellular.” Tap “Add eSIM” to scan the Spectrum eSIM QR code.
- eSIM activation on Samsung: Open“Settings,” go to “Connections,” and select “SIM Manager.” Tap “Add eSIM” to scan the Spectrum eSIM QR code.
How to transfer
To transfer an eSIM to a new device or if you’re switching from a different carrier, you’ll have to visit the “Spectrum Mobile eSIM activation” site to follow the on-screen instructions.
However, note that Spectrum doesn’t support transferring an eSIM from Android to iPhone or vice versa. Transferring is only possible between Android and Android, or iPhone and iPhone.
