How to Manage Your Holafly Plans from the App?

Managing your Holafly subscription plan from the app is quick and intuitive. Whether you need to activate your phone number, check your renewal date, review SMS messages, or purchase a new subscription, everything is organized in one place. This guide explains each feature step by step so you can manage your plan confidently while traveling.

Important: These features are only available for Holafly subscription plans purchased on or after November 4, 2025 (CET). If your plan was bought before this date, some options may not appear in the Holafly app. Also, you can choose your phone number and your SMS notification method (App or Email) only once, and these settings cannot be changed.

Check Your Plan Status

You can see exactly where your subscription stands at any moment. The Holafly app shows which day of your billing cycle you’re on, your upcoming renewal date, and all key plan information. In the General Information section, you’ll also find your Order ID and the ICCID of your eSIM so you always have your essential details on hand. Here’s how to check it:

  • Open the Holafly App → Tap Plans You’ll immediately see your current subscription, including your cycle progress and renewal date Scroll down to the Plan details section Tap General Information to view your Order ID and ICCID.

Activate Your Phone Number

Unlimited Plans purchased on November 4, 2025, or later include a phone number that you can activate directly from the Holafly app. During the phone number setup, you’ll be able to choose a number with a United States, United Kingdom, or Canada country code. Remember that this choice can only be made once, so make sure to pick the option that best suits your trip before confirming. When you're ready, follow the steps below to activate your number quickly and safely:

  • Open the Holafly App Tap Plans Scroll to Let’s set your number section → Tap Phone number country.

  • Choose your preferred phone code (Canada, United Kingdom, or United States) Tap Save to confirm your choice Tap “How do you want to receive SMS”, select whether you’d like to get notifications via App or Email Tap Save again Check the consent box and tap Activate phone number.

Where to find your phone number 

You can see or copy your number at any time within your plan details. Follow these steps to locate it: 

  •  Open the Holafly App → Tap Plans Look for the Phone number section → Tap Copy number to save it for later use.

View Notifications and SMS Messages

The app lets you see SMS messages received through your Holafly number, as well as general app notifications related to your plan. Here’s where to check them.

  • Go to the Holafly App → Tap the bell icon → Select SMS → Choose between Unread, Read, or All messages Review messages from your plan number or general app notifications.

Cancel Your Holafly Plans

You can cancel your subscription from the app if you don’t want it to renew. Follow these quick steps:

  • Go to the Holafly App → Tap Plans → Scroll all the way down, you’ll see the Plan details → Tap the Cancel Plan.

  • A list of options will appear Select the reason for your cancellation and tap Continue Tap Cancel Plan  Tap Yes, cancel plan →  Select Got it to finish the process.

Buy a New Plan from the App

You can also purchase recurring plans directly from the app, whether you want to buy a new plan, switch to a different option, or upgrade to Unlimited. Just follow these steps: 

  • Open the Holafly app → Tap Plans → Tap Buy plan → Select Light or Unlimited, and toggle the Yearly Plan option if you prefer → Enter your billing information and choose your country code to add your phone number → Tap Select payment → Choose your preferred payment method → Follow the prompts to complete your purchase → Tap on Pay, and you're all set.

To Keep in Mind

  • The phone number is for receiving SMS only and is available exclusively with the Unlimited Plan.
  • It doesn’t support regular calls or outbound SMS.
  • You can make calls using WhatsApp, Telegram, or FaceTime without needing a local number. 
  • If you want to switch to a different plan, you’ll need to cancel your current one and purchase a new eSIM.
  • Once you activate your phone number, it can’t be changed. Please choose your country code carefully, as this is a one-time setup.
  • If you cancel your plan, it will remain active until your current billing cycle ends; after that, it will not be renewed automatically. 
  • Even after you cancel your subscription, you’ll still get 1 GB/month of Always On data in eligible destinations, as long as you don’t delete your eSIM. If you delete it, you’ll permanently lose access to Always On data, even if your plan is still active.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase and haven’t used your eSIM, you may be eligible for a refund according to Holafly’s refund policy.
