StarHub prepaid roaming is available through two options: short-term data add-ons and monthly Star Plans that include roaming. All StarHub roaming charges are in SGD.

Pay-As-You-Roam
If you’re travelling from Singapore and don’t activate a specific StarHub roaming plan, you’ll be charged Pay-As-You-Roam (PAYR) rates — which vary by country and include a 20% surcharge.

How to activate overseas roaming on StarHub
Activating StarHub international roaming is simple for both prepaid and postpaid users. Here’s how to set it up before travelling:
Postpaid users
Activate roaming in any of these ways:
- Via the StarHub App – Go to Roaming under Manage My Services and toggle it ON.
- By SMS – Text “Roaming ON” to 6818 (local SMS charges may apply). AutoRoaming – Many postpaid plans have roaming pre-enabled. Just turn on data roaming in your phone settings when overseas.
Ensure your plan includes roaming and check if your destination is covered by your selected package.
Prepaid users
International roaming is not auto-enabled for prepaid users. To activate it:
- *Dial 123# and follow the prompts to activate Happy Roam and buy data packs.
- Use the StarHub Prepaid App to select a roaming destination and purchase a roaming plan.
- Ensure you have sufficient credit before activating roaming services.
After activation, turn on Data Roaming in your phone settings to start using mobile data abroad.
