Roam Like Home is an accessible roaming plan that allows you to use your local allowance while traveling to the USA.

To use Rogers Roam Like Home, you have to pay CAD $14/day. If you have the Essentials plan, you’ll get over 150 GB, 2,000 SMS for international texting, and unlimited phone calls to Canada.

You can use this service for as long as you want, but you’ll only be charged 20 days per billing cycle, or $280. Until the next billing cycle, Rogers only charges taxes.

Prepaid Rogers customers with eligible plans can text TRAVEL to 222 to activate and use Roam Like Home. It’s automatically enabled for postpaid plans.

Pay-per-use

If you don’t have Roam Like Home activated or your plan is not eligible, you’ll be charged pay-per-use rates while using Rogers USA roaming.

Call: $1.45/minute
Text: $0.75/text
Data: $12/5 MB

Travel Pass

Travel Pass is an alternative for Canadian travelers visiting the USA. It’s a 30-day pass that costs $60.

Similar to the Roam Like Home plan, you’ll use your local plan allowance at no extra cost. Here’s how you activate it:

Access your MyRogers account.
Select “Manage” next to the number you want to add the Travel Pass.
Choose “Manage add-ons” and activate the 30-day Travel Pass.

The Rogers Travel Pass starts working immediately after activation. Make sure you activate it just before your trip, or while using free WiFi at the airport or your hotel.

Rogers 5G Ultimate Plan

If you have a 5G Ultimate Plan, which costs $80 for a single line, you’re eligible to use it at no extra cost in the USA and Mexico.

Here’s what you get with the plan:

Unlimited international texting
1,000 international minutes

If you use all of your data allowance, you get unlimited data at lower speeds until your next billing cycle.
