If you are an Optus postpaid customer, you can use Optus Daily Roaming, Optus Roaming Pass, or Standard Roaming Rates to stay connected in the United States.

Optus Daily Roaming gives you 5 GB of data for 24 hours for just $5s in over 150 destinations. You also get unlimited standard talk and text. This add-on is available on Choice Plus, Plus Family, and Plus Promo plans, and it activates automatically the first time you use talk, text, or data while overseas.

The $10 Optus Roaming Pass gives you 1 GB of data plus unlimited national talk and text for 24 hours in over 150 destinations. On plans with roaming inclusions, a pass will trigger automatically once your included allowance has been used, keeping you connected at a flat daily rate.

If you don’t activate Daily Roaming or use a Roaming Pass, you’ll be charged Standard Roaming Rates. The charges are $1.00 per MB, $0.50 per text sent, and $1.50 per minute of calls. These rates are available on selected postpaid plans, excluding Choice Plus, and can be managed in the My Optus app.

Prepaid customers

If you are an Optus prepaid customer, you can use Prepaid Roaming Add-ons to stay connected in the United States.
