- Price: $5 per 24 hours (charged only on days used).
- Data: 5 GB per day.
- Call and SMS: Unlimited.
This plan activates automatically when you start using roaming in Malaysia, and only charges for the days you use roaming. So, if you use Optus roaming in Malaysia for one week, $40 will be added to your bill.
Optus $10 Roaming Pass for Malaysia
If you are on older postpaid plans like Non-Choice Plus plans, you will be eligible for the Optus $10 roaming pass, which includes 1 GB of data, unlimited talk, and unlimited text.
How it works:
- Price: $10 per 24 hours.
- Data: 1 GB.

Postpaid standard roaming rates
Postpaid customers should activate their daily plans before their trip. Otherwise, the pay-as-you-go rates will apply, which include:
- Talk: $1.50 per minute of making or receiving talk.
- SMS: $0.50 per text.
- Data: $1.00 per MB.

Both postpaid and prepaid customers can use the My Optus app to activate Optus roaming for Malaysia.
Postpaid users
To activate the roaming pass:
- Open the My Optus app and select your mobile service.
- Go to Settings > International Roaming.
- Turn international roaming on.
- Check whether you are eligible for the $5 or $10 Daily Roaming Pass.
Prepaid users
To purchase an international roaming pack:
- Open the My Optus app.
- Tap Add-ons.
- Select International Roaming Packs.
