Optus $10 roaming pass for Bali
If you are on older Optus plans, you can use the Optus $10 daily roaming pass.
- Eligibility: Non-Optus Choice Plus postpaid plans; Qantas SIM-only postpaid plans.
- Cost: $10 per 24 hours.
- Includes: Unlimited standard talk and SMS, 1 GB data per 24 hours.

Optus standard roaming rates in Bali
For those who don’t have an eligible plan for using Optus daily passes or haven’t purchased an international roaming pack, the standard pay-as-you-go rates are applied.
Postpaid standard roaming rates
As a postpaid customer, you should either be on Optus new plans to use a $5 daily pass or an older one to access a $10 daily plan. Otherwise, you will be charged for the PAYG rates as follows:
- Talk: $1.50 per minute.
- Text: $0.50 per text.
- Data: $1.00 per MB.
- Warning: At $1 per MB, 1 GB of data usage will cost $1,024, which is very expensive, even if you are not a frequent user.

Prepaid standard roaming rates
If you don’t purchase an international roaming pack, you will be charged as follows:
- Talk: $1 per minute.
- Text: $0.50 per text.
- Data: $0.50 per MB (charged per 10 KB).

How to activate Optus roaming for Bali
Whether you are a postpaid or prepaid Optus customer, you can use the My Optus app to activate your plan or purchase an international pack.
Postpaid users
- Sign in to the My Optus app.
- Check Daily Roaming eligibility.
- Enable roaming in the app. Go to Services> Settings> International Roaming> On.
Prepaid users
- Sign in to the My Optus app.
