How much does MSC internet cost?
MSC’s WiFi packages pricing is not available until you book your cruise. In general, you can use free WiFi that works in designated areas, or choose between two paid packages with unlimited data.
While you can’t know the exact price of your internet package until you book with MSC, you can save costs by pre-purchasing. If you buy a package before your cruise sets sail, you can get up to 20% off on it.
Keep in mind also that the price is lower if you buy an MSC internet package for more than one device.
MSC internet packages
MSC’s internet packages are priced for an entire cruise. This is different from competitors like Royal Caribbean’s internet packages, which work on both daily and full-cruise packages. and Disney Cruise internet packages, which focus on daily internet plans.
You can rely on free MSC WiFi in designated areas at no extra cost, but only on selected cruises, such as MSC Magnifica, MSC Poesia, MSC Musica, and others.
For paid packages, you can choose a browse-only or browse and stream package. Here’s how they work:
- Browse Package: Unlimited data for messaging apps, browsing the web, and sending and receiving emails. Not available for streaming services.
- Browse and Stream Package: Unlimited data with video calls, music, video and live streaming, and social media posting all covered, as well as all the benefits from the Browse Cruise package.

How does MSC’s internet package work?
After choosing your preferred MSC WiFi package, here’s what you should know about using it while on the cruise:
- Choose a device: When buying an MSC internet package, you have to register the device you’ll use with it. This is the device you have to use when connecting to the WiFi network.
- How to connect: Log in to the MSC Captive Portal with your device, connect to the ship hotspot using your reservation details, and press “Start” for the package to start working.
- How strong is the MSC internet: As said by MSC, the internet is slower compared to on-land connections.
- Where MSC’s WiFi packages work: You can use your paid MSC internet packages in all public areas and staterooms.
- How much data is included: All paid MSC WiFi packages include unlimited data.
- Where it works: WiFi at MSC connects only while on the ship. While on land, you have to use international roaming or a similar service like an international eSIM.
