Got a Ubigi eSIM that you no longer need? Follow along to learn how to delete an eSIM from your phone and why you might want to do it in the first place.

How to delete a Ubigi eSIM from your phone
Deleting a Ubigi eSIM profile is no different from any other eSIM since it’s all done through your phone settings instead of the Ubigi app or website. Regardless of whether you’re deleting the eSIM on iPhone or Android, it only takes a few taps of the screen to get it done.
Keep in mind that once you delete the eSIM, you’ll no longer be able to reinstall the same eSIM profile. So only delete it once you’re sure you’re not going to use it again.
How to delete a Ubigi eSIM on iOS
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Cellular/Mobile Service settings menu.
- Choose the eSIM you want to delete.
- Tap on the Delete eSIM option at the bottom of the menu.
How to delete a Ubigi eSIM on Android
- Go to Settings.
- Open the SIM Manager settings menu.
- Choose the eSIM you want to remove.
- Tab the Remove button at the bottom of the menu.
The steps can vary slightly depending on the make of your Android device and the version of your operating system.
When to delete an eSIM
We’ve already clarified that deleting an eSIM is super simple, but why do it at all? Let’s take a look at some of the main reasons why you might want to.
- Issues with your eSIM — if your Ubigi eSIM isn’t working, you might not want to keep it on your phone. Make sure to contact customer support and file a refund with Ubigi before deleting the eSIM, though, as you may not be able to get a refund otherwise.
- You won’t be using the eSIM — Ubigi eSIMs don’t have a validity period, but if you’re sure you won’t be using the eSIM any longer, there’s no good reason to keep it around. Delete it to make space for other eSIM profiles you might want to install in the future.
- You’re selling or giving away your phone — if you’re passing your phone over to someone else, you won’t want to keep your old eSIMs lying around. Delete all eSIM profiles before giving the phone to someone else. Ideally, perform a factory reset, which will automatically delete all eSIMs.
