How Do I Set Up My eSIM?

To set up your Holafly eSIM, you have two options: you can either scan the provided QR code or enter the information manually. After that, simply activate it and you are done!  It’s important to note that installation is only possible on phones that are compatible with eSIM technology and are unlocked by the carrier. How to set up your eSIM on iPhone (iOS)

To install your Holafly eSIM using a QR code or Manual codes, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code > Scan the QR code or Enter Details Manually > Next > Continue with Activation.

How to set up your eSIM on Android devices

To install your Holafly eSIM using a QR code or manual codes, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR Code or Enter activation code > Add > Continue with Activation.

Steps to Activate your eSIM

Activation of the eSIM can only be completed once you are at your destination. If your eSIM was set up before your trip, be sure to turn off data roaming until you arrive at your destination to prevent unexpected data usage.

How to activate your eSIM on iPhone (iOS)

To activate your eSIM, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data > Select the Holafly option > Turn Data Roaming on.

How to activate your eSIM on Android devices

To activate your eSIM, follow these steps: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Select your Holafly eSIM and make sure that is active >  Go back to Connections > Mobile Network >  Turn on Data Roaming.

To keep in mind

Installation is only possible when you are connected to a strong wifi network, so avoid public networks such as airports or parks. Also, there are devices where installation is better in one way than another, therefore, if you have already tried to install via QR code and it does not work, you can try to do it manually and vice versa. Finally, if you activated your eSIM ahead of time, remember to keep it off until you reach your destination.
