Roam Beyond plans
Roam Beyond plans, available for both postpaid and prepaid customers, include calls, texts, and data roaming in Roam Beyond destinations. The amount of data you get depends on the Freedom Mobile roaming plan you choose.

Roam Beyond Pass
Roam Beyond Passes are 30-day add-ons for your plan that give you a set data allotment for the same countries covered by Roam Beyond plans. You can use your data until it’s gone, after which, pay-per-use rates apply.
The pass also includes unlimited calls to Canada and local numbers in your destination, unlimited incoming calls, and unlimited global texts. Available packages are as follows:
- $30 for 5 GB + unlimited talk and text
- $50 for 10 GB + unlimited talk and text
Pay-per-use
If you don’t need much data or don’t want a travel plan, you can use roaming and just pay for what you use. Pay-per-use rates vary by country. To give you an idea, below are pay-per-use rates (in $CAD) for the top travel destinations for Canadians.

How to add a Freedom Mobile roaming plan to your phone
Below is a quick guide to getting and activating each Freedom Mobile roaming option. To use any of these plans, however, you must first enable International Roaming and International Calling in My Account:
Steps in My Account:
- Log in to My Account.
- Go to Manage Features.
- Turn on International Roaming and International Calling.
- Accept the terms and select Enable.
Once these features are active, you can manage your roaming plans and add-ons.
Roam Beyond plan
Roam Beyond plans are regular monthly mobile plans. You can either switch your current plan to a Roam Beyond plan or start a new one. Once active, your data, calls, and texts will work automatically in included destinations, and no additional activation is needed as long as roaming is enabled on your phone.
Roam Beyond Pass
After enabling roaming, go to Shop Add-Ons to purchase the Roam Beyond Pass you want. You can also contact Freedom Mobile’s customer care team to activate the pass for you.
Pay-per-use
If you don’t buy a Roam Beyond plan or pass, you can still use roaming with pay-per-use rates. Once roaming is enabled and you use your phone abroad, you’ll be charged only for the data, calls, or texts you use.
