No, international roaming isn’t available with Assurance Wireless. This service is designed for low-income citizens, as reflected in the plans it offers, ensuring connectivity in the US at affordable rates rather than international plans.
However, people can get international calling plans from the US to over 70 destinations, but this won’t work when traveling abroad.

Assurance Wireless offers two international calling add-ons for its users in the US, which are:
- International: For $10/month, users get unlimited calls to Mexico and Canada, and unlimited worldwide texting. Northern Canadian territories aren’t included here.
- International PLUS: For $15/month, users get unlimited calls to landlines in over 70 countries, plus 200 minutes to selected mobile lines in over 50 countries.
How to activate Assurance Wireless roaming
Assurance Wireless roaming isn’t available, so there’s no need to activate roaming if you’re traveling with any of their plan.
If you have an Assurance Wireless eSIM or SIM card and need to travel internationally from the US, and want to activate international calling, you can do this directly in your account.
