EE Business SIM review: Features, plans, and pricing

An overview of EE Business SIM features, pricing, coverage and support for businesses evaluating connectivity options.

Updated: April 1, 2026

EE Business SIM is a mobile subscription service for organisations, offering 5G coverage, unlimited UK calls and texts, and data plans for employees across a range of business sizes.

This article covers how EE Business SIM works, its plans, pricing, network coverage, features, customer support, and cancellation terms.

We also compare it with Holafly for Business, a business eSIM provider for companies with employees who travel internationally.

What is a EE Business SIM?

EE Business SIM allows organisations to set up voice and data plans over the air rather than through physical SIM cards, and it works alongside existing business allowances on dual SIM-capable devices. EE has supported consumer eSIM since 2018 and extended the model to business users in the early 2020s.

How does EE Business SIM work?

Companies can purchase plans through the EE Business Webstore, the MyEE app, or directly via an account manager, then assign eSIMs in the Mobile Manager portal. An employee installs the eSIM by scanning a QR code or tapping a ‘Deploy to Device’ alert while connected to WiFi. Administrators can check SIM status and activity in the dashboard and Service Audit Log.

EE organises its business plans by headcount, serving small teams of 1–10, growing organisations of 11–250, and large enterprise fleets, with use cases including remote work, BYOD environments, and IoT management.

Can my company use EE Business SIM?

EE Business SIM is available to organisations of all sizes, from small businesses to large enterprises. Plans are structured by headcount and usage model, with options for self-managed small business accounts through to enterprise-level deployments with dedicated account management.

EE Business SIM review: A breakdown of key features

The sections below outline EE Business SIM plans, pricing, network coverage, features, customer service, and cancellation terms.

1. eSIM plans

EE groups its business SIM plans by employee count and usage model, with all plans including 5G access and unlimited UK calls and texts as standard.

Plans for 11–250+ employees

The Team Plan

  • Features included: Dedicated data per user with a structure that scales as headcount increases.
  • Best suited for: Growing organisations seeking simplified management across multiple lines.

The Shared Plan

  • Features included: A shared data bundle in which all employees draw from a central data allowance to maintain a fixed monthly bill.
  • Best suited for: Companies aiming to manage pooled data usage and reduce individual overage risk.

The Individual Plan

  • Features included: Custom data allowances assigned to each employee based on role.
  • Best suited for: Organisations with varied data needs across field- and office-based staff.

In addition to corporate plans, EE operates an EE Partnership Programme paying commission per confirmed sale, an Indirect Partner Channel for reselling EE and BT-branded products, and holds Apple Business Partner status for hardware procurement, leasing, and financing.

2. Pricing

EE Business SIM pricing varies by contract length, data allowance, and business size, with rates typically based on 24-month SIM-only agreements. Costs may also be affected by the number of users, total data requirements, and whether the agreement includes pooled or individual allowances.

Plans for 1–10 employees

Business Essential

  • 10GB: £13/month
  • 50GB: £17/month
  • 100GB: £17/month
  • Unlimited data: £22/month

Business All Rounder

  • 10GB: £22/month
  • 50GB: £26/month
  • Unlimited data: From £31/month

Business Full Works

  • Unlimited data: £50–£90/month

Plans for 11–250+ employees

The Team Plan, The Shared Plan, and The Individual Plan require a custom quote, with pricing determined by factors such as total shared data pool size, number of lines, and individual data allocations. For accurate pricing, contact EE Business directly or request a quote through an account manager.

3. Network coverage and quality

EE Business SIM operates on EE’s own UK network infrastructure. International coverage is organised into roaming zones — the Europe Zone (40–47 destinations), the International Business Zone (10 destinations including the USA, Canada, Australia, and China), the Roam Abroad Pass (47 destinations), and broader ‘World’ passes covering up to 59 destinations. The specific zone available depends on the plan or add-on selected.

EE offers 5G and 5G+ with average download speeds of 146 Mbps, and 4G/LTE with average speeds of 40 Mbps. Certain Essential tier plans may be capped at 100 Mbps. Network details and expected speeds can be checked using EE’s postcode coverage checker, with usage visible through the MyEE app and Mobile Manager.

  • Service Relationship Manager access for eligible high-level accounts, providing service reviews and account management

Note: Standard phone and digital support operate during EE Business contact centre hours. Dedicated and account-managed services vary depending on business size and the terms of the agreement.

6. Refund and cancellation policy

Refund and cancellation rules for EE Business are based on UK consumer law and defined cooling-off periods, and they vary depending on the purchase method.

Eligibility and time limits: Business customers have 14 days to cancel from the date the product is received. Faulty goods can be returned within 30 days. Once the cooling-off window closes, 30 days’ notice is required, and early termination charges may apply if the agreement is still within its minimum term.

Documentation and process: Proof of purchase is required for all returns. For online or phone orders, customers must notify EE in writing, fill out a returns form, or call 150 from an EE device (or 0800 079 0103 from any other device), then return equipment to the specified address within seven days of notification. Refunds are usually processed within 14 days of EE receiving the returned equipment.

Exceptions and limitations: Charges for services used before cancellation are not refunded and are billed on a pro-rata basis. Pay As You Go airtime top-ups are generally non-refundable. Purchases made via third-party retailers are subject to that retailer’s policy. Standard delivery fees are refunded, but express or premium delivery charges are normally excluded. Cancellation after the cooling-off period may result in early termination fees calculated against the remaining monthly charges.
