Holafly’s eSIMs are now reusable. See how to reuse your eSIM profile and stop installing a new eSIM for every Trip.
The days of scanning and installing a separate travel eSIM for each trip are over, as Holafly makes its eSIMs reusable.
This reusable eSIM stays installed on your device, letting you load eSIM plans without having to download new profiles each time.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how to reuse your eSIM profile:
- Purchase an eSIM plan from the Holafly store or the Holafly app.
- Install your Holafly eSIM profile, then activate the line in your phone’s settings when you’re ready to start using your plan.
- Once your trip ends, do not delete your reusable eSIM profile.
- Keep your eSIM installed for future trips. When you purchase new eSIM plans, they will automatically be added to your existing eSIM!

After your Trip
After your trip ends, you can switch your Holafly eSIM line off, but keep the eSIM installed on your device, as it is reusable. You’ll be able to use the same eSIM for future trips without installing another eSIM. Plus, by keeping your eSIM installed, you can get 1 GB of free monthly backup data with Always On.
The bottom line is, don’t delete your Holafly eSIM after a trip ends to use it on future travels and get extra monthly backup data!
Adding a new Trip
When you purchase a new Trip from Holafly, it will automatically be added to your eSIM. You won’t have to install a new eSIM profile.
Once you arrive at your destination and are ready to use your eSIM plan, switch to the Holafly eSIM line and turn on data roaming. Enjoy high-speed, unlimited data instantly with no additional activation steps.
Transferring Trips
Holafly lets you transfer an eligible Trip to another person to use through their own Holafly account. The transfer is complete once the recipient accepts it and is only valid for Trips purchased on or after September 28, 2026, that are “Ready to Use.”
How does this work with your eSIM?
You can transfer a Ready to Use Trip to another person using their email address. They’ll have to accept the transfer invitation to start using it. A Trip may only be transferred once. The recipient has 24 hours to accept the transfer, after which the transfer link expires.
Note: You can only transfer eligible Trips. Holafly Plans and other subscription-based plans cannot be transferred.
Refunds on transferred Trips
Refunds on Trips with your own reusable eSIM are straightforward. Check out Holafly’s refund page for more information on how to request a refund and different refund scenarios.
As a recipient, you can request a refund for a transferred Trip if you experience a service-related issue after accepting the transfer. You’ll have to contact Holafly directly.
If your issue falls under one of the situations in Holafly’s Refund Policy, you can request a refund directly through the app by contacting Customer Support, without involving the original purchaser.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used to purchase the trip.

FAQs about the new reusable eSIM by Holafly
If you accidentally delete your Holafly eSIM from your device, you can reinstall it using the same installation email or in the Holafly app.
You can install the same eSIM up to 3 times. If you reach the maximum number of installation attempts, you’ll have to contact Holafly’s customer support team to get a new reusable eSIM.
If you already have a Trip ready to use, before the launch of Holafly’s reusable eSIM, this won’t be affected. Once your Trip is complete, simply remove the old eSIM from your device and keep your reusable one installed for all future Trips.
