Airhub eSIM not working after activation
If you successfully installed and activated your eSIM but it’s still not working, chances are either your device or the Airhub service has some underlying issues.
Here are the most common reasons the Airhub eSIM does not work after activation. If these issues persist, you must contact customer support for help or request a refund.
Disconnect from WiFi
If your WiFi connection is turned on and has a stable connection, it will leave the eSIM mobile data aside. So, simply turn off the WiFi connection to avoid any further issues.
Check your data roaming option is turned on
If your eSIM profile is properly activated, you need to check if your data roaming option is turned on. Here’s how to do this:
- On iPhone, go to “Settings,” then “Mobile/Cellular Service,” choose your Airhub eSIM, and verify the “Data Roaming” toggle is turned on.
- On Android, go to “Settings,” then “Network & Internet,” choose your eSIM line and verify the “Data Roaming” option is turned on.
Restart your device
When your phone hasn’t restarted, chances are there are some underlying errors happening in the system, and you’ll need to restart it.
Before restarting your device, you can try turning the airplane mode on and off. If this fix doesn’t work, simply restart your device and check if the issue is fixed.
Check your data usage
If you’re using an Airhub limited data plan and it stopped working, chances are you ran out of data. To verify if there’s any data left on your eSIM plan, go to the Airhub app or website and check the data usage.
If you run out of data, you can purchase a top-up or a new eSIM plan, depending on your needs.
Reset your network settings
If none of the previous fixes worked, you’ll need to reset your network settings. With this, you’ll “reset” all your previous network connections, including WiFi and Bluetooth, and will leave your phone as good as new. Here’s how to do it:
- On iOS, go to “Settings,” then “General,” then “Reset,” and choose “Reset Network Settings.”
- On Android, the process might vary depending on your device. Here’s the general process. Go to “Settings,” then “System/More Connectivity Options,” then “Reset WiFi, Mobile Networks, and Bluetooth” and confirm the process.
