But just how good is Revolut’s eSIM? What is the Revolut eSIM?

Revolut eSIM is a data-only eSIM service that lets eligible customers purchase travel data plans through the Revolut app. It provides mobile data in supported destinations without requiring a physical SIM card, and you can use it alongside your existing SIM for calls and SMS.

How does it work?

Instead of operating its own mobile network, Revolut partners with 1GLOBAL to provide its eSIM data plans. Revolut acts as an agent for 1GLOBAL, which is the eSIM service provider.

To use the service, you need an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device and an eligible Revolut account. In the Revolut app, go to RevPoints > eSIM > Get data plan, then choose local, regional, or global coverage and select your data allowance.

After purchasing a plan, install and activate the eSIM through the app. Once activated, you can select the Revolut eSIM for mobile data in your device settings and track your usage in the app.

Note: Revolut eSIM plans are data-only and don’t provide a local phone number or traditional voice and SMS services. You can continue using your existing SIM for calls and texts while using the Revolut eSIM for data.

Compatible devices

Key features

The eSIM is integrated into Revolut’s main app, making it convenient to purchase, manage, and top up your data plan alongside your other Revolut services.
