Everything you need to know about 1GLOBAL eSIM for business: plans, pricing, and how it works.
An eSIM platform for international business, 1GLOBAL lets companies provision, manage, and monitor mobile data and voice plans for employees in 190+ countries.
This article covers how 1GLOBAL eSIM works, its plans and pricing, and how it compares to Holafly for Business.
What is 1GLOBAL eSIM?
Established in 2022, 1GLOBAL is a GSMA-certified telecommunications provider and a licensed MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that lets companies deploy, manage, and monitor mobile data and voice plans for employees in 190+ countries.
1GLOBAL offers a centralised management dashboard, prepaid cost control, postpaid billing with consolidated invoicing, zero-touch provisioning through Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, and network-level recording of voice and SMS.
How does 1GLOBAL eSIM work?
Getting your business set up on 1GLOBAL involves an initial account phase followed by digital onboarding.
- Sign up: Your business contacts 1GLOBAL sales or a dedicated account manager to establish a contract.
- Choose a payment model: Your business can opt for postpaid monthly invoicing, which generates a bill for the entire organisation, or prepaid credits under the SmartEnterprise plan.
- Add employees: You invite users through the admin portal. If your business uses an MDM tool like Jamf Pro, employees are added by enrolling their device with corporate credentials.
- Assign eSIMs: You assign eSIMs to employees via the management portal or push profiles to devices via zero-touch provisioning.
- Install and activate: Your team scans a QR code sent by email, accepts a push notification on their device, or enters activation details in their phone settings before travel.
- Manage from the dashboard: You monitor data usage across the fleet, manage a pooled data allowance, provision connections, and enable voice and SMS recording.
1GLOBAL’s enterprise plans cover 160+ countries under the SmartEnterprise prepaid tier and 190+ countries on postpaid plans. eSIMs can be deployed via admin assignment, zero-touch provisioning, or QR code distribution.
Can my company use 1GLOBAL eSIM?
1GLOBAL serves teams of 20 users on its SmartEnterprise prepaid plan through to large multinationals managing 10,000+ devices via API and MDM integrations.
The platform targets organisations with internationally mobile workforces and identifies five core sectors: enterprise, finance, tech & travel, IoT, and mobile operators. Its primary use cases include replacing international roaming charges with a global contract, eliminating the need to distribute SIM cards, and meeting regulatory recording requirements for voice and SMS in financial services.
1GLOBAL eSIM review: A breakdown of key features
The sections below cover 1GLOBAL’s eSIM plans, pricing, network coverage, features, support, and refund policy.
1. eSIM plans
1GLOBAL offers two business plan structures: a prepaid shared data tier for smaller teams and a customised postpaid tier for larger organisations.
SmartEnterprise
SmartEnterprise is a prepaid data plan for teams that need shared data pools without a bespoke enterprise contract.
- Shared data pools covering a fixed allowance (from 50GB to 1,000GB) shared across the team
- Regional and global coverage zones: Europe (35 countries), APAC, MENA, a global plan covering 164 countries, and a World plan (113 countries)
- Centralised dashboard for monitoring consumption and topping up the pool
- Prepaid cost control: no overage fees; data stops when the pool is exhausted
- 5G/4G connectivity via 1GLOBAL’s carrier network
- Self-service onboarding via the web portal
Best suited for: smaller businesses with frequent travellers looking to manage a shared data budget from one place, without the complexity of a custom contract.
Enterprise
The Enterprise tier is a customised postpaid plan for larger organisations and regulated industries that need voice, SMS, and data under a single agreement.
- Full communication suite: global data, voice, and SMS
- Local numbers available in 10 countries, including the UK, US, Germany, France, Netherlands, Poland, Hong Kong, Spain, and Australia
- Postpaid billing based on usage or pre-negotiated rates, invoiced monthly
- Multi-IMSI technology allowing an eSIM to connect to local carrier networks automatically
- Zero-touch provisioning via MDM integrations, including Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and Ivanti
- Regulatory compliance tools, including network-level voice and SMS recording for MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and GDPR requirements
Best suited for: large multinationals, financial institutions, and organisations that manage mobile devices through MDM software.
1GLOBAL’s additional business solutions
- White-label eSIM: allows brands to offer a branded eSIM service within their own app, with 1GLOBAL managing the network and billing
- Connect API: enables travel agencies, airlines, and tech companies to embed eSIM purchasing and management into their platforms
- Reseller programme: for managed service providers and IT consultants looking to include 1GLOBAL plans in their broader technology offering
- IoT and OEM solutions: an out-of-the-box connectivity programme for device manufacturers to include global data capabilities at the point of manufacture
2. Pricing
1GLOBAL doesn’t publish standard pricing for its corporate eSIM plans. All plans require a quote request.
Still, two payment models are available:
- SmartEnterprise (prepaid): your organisation purchases a shared data pool for the team.
- Enterprise (postpaid): usage is billed at the end of each contract period. This model also supports voice, SMS, and data.
Factors that can affect final pricing include:
- Number of users
- Data volume required
- Geographic coverage (regional vs global)
- Contract length
- Whether voice and SMS are included
For current rates, visit the 1GLOBAL Enterprise Data Roaming page or contact their sales team.
3. Network coverage
1GLOBAL has its own global network and supplements it with roaming agreements across 600+ partner networks in 190+ countries. Corporate packages are split into regional and global tiers: Europe (35 countries), APAC (21 countries), MENA (10 countries), a Global plan covering 164 countries, and a World plan covering 113 countries.
4G/LTE data speeds are available across most destinations, with 5G supported in select regions where both the local partner network and the employee’s device are 5G-capable.

5. Customer service and technical support

Customers have access to 24/7 phone and email support. Phone assistance is available by dialling 707 from a 1GLOBAL device, or via local numbers. Email support is handled through business.help@1global.com, and admins can also access support through the Connectivity Management Portal. A structured Help Centre with an FAQ is available for self-service.
1GLOBAL aims to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 10 business days.
6. Refund and cancellation policy
1GLOBAL gives customers 14 days from the date of entering the agreement to cancel and request a refund. If service has already been used within that window, only a proportionate refund for unused data applies. Refunds may also be issued where a network or technical failure prevented service delivery, though 1GLOBAL will typically need to verify the fault first.
Refund claims can be submitted by email to business.help@1global.com. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days of the cancellation notification.
Plans that have expired or been fully used aren’t eligible for a refund. If 1GLOBAL terminates an agreement due to a material breach, unused data is also non-refundable. The 14-day withdrawal right applies to contracts entered into remotely, in line with standard EU consumer protection rules.
