P&O offers two WiFi packages, which are available as pay-as-you-go or for the full cruise duration, with prices ranging from £14 to £30 depending on your chosen package.

These packages are available to buy pre-cruise and on board, with prices differing slightly depending on when you purchase.

This guide covers everything about P&O WiFi packages, as well as using a travel eSIM like Holafly to avoid additional costs when making land stops or departing from a different country.

How much does P&O WiFi cost?

P&O WiFi package price depends on when you buy it, the preferred plan, and the duration.

  • Ultimate: The Ultimate P&O WiFi package ranges from £20 per day for the entire cruise plan and £30 per day if bought as pay-as-you-go.
  • Essential: The Essential P&O WiFi package ranges from £14 per day for the entire cruise plan and £20 per day if bought as pay-as-you-go.

The final price might vary if bought before the cruise. Travellers can get a 15% or higher discount if they book up to 4 days before departure. Discounts are also available when buying multiple-device packages.

P&O WiFi packages

P&O offers two WiFi packages. Each one is designed for different tasks, and here’s what they offer:

  • Essential package: Ideal for web browsing, email, social media, and messaging apps. Streaming, calls, and social media videos aren’t available with this package.
  • Ultimate package: Includes all Essential benefits, plus music and video streaming, voice and video calls, and social media videos.
  • All-inclusive packages: Classic and Deluxe offer access to the Essential and Ultimate WiFi packages. Pricing ranges from £49 to £59 per person, per day, and includes other benefits such as drinks and dining credits.

Aside from each package’s limitations, P&O blocks various websites for gambling, file sharing, adult content, proxy avoidance, and certain streaming services.

Plus, Essential plans don’t allow VPN usage, while Ultimate does with certain apps. Some email apps and remote desktop connections may not be available, too, according to P&O.

Note: P&O does not offer free WiFi as standard. All internet access on board requires a paid package.

How does P&O’s WiFi package work?

P&O cruise WiFi packages work for staying connected while on board, but here’s what travellers should remember about these to use their phone on a cruise:

  • How to connect: Visit internet.pocruises.com and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your device to your preferred WiFi package, entering your cruise reservation details.
  • Where you can use it: The P&O WiFi package is available only on ships. Once you’re on land, WiFi won’t work, so consider using an eSIM for on-land stops.
  • How strong it is: P&O WiFi works with Starlink, offering a high-quality service when possible. However, remember that due to distance and weather conditions, this can vary.
  • Maritime roaming: Depending on your local mobile operator, you can access maritime roaming, but check rates and availability. If not available, consider alternatives, such as the Holafly eSIM.
  • When it starts working: P&O WiFi packages are available the moment you get on the cruise.

Alternatives to paying for P&O WiFi

If you don’t feel like paying for a full P&O WiFi package, there are alternatives for you to consider:

  • Holafly: The Holafly eSIM is a great alternative for land stops or for departing from a different country. You can choose either a single-destination plan or a monthly eSIM subscription based on your travel schedule.
  • Maritime roaming: Even though it’s a reliable alternative, not all mobile operators offer it, and it usually costs more than the P&O WiFi packages.

Stay connected on land with Holafly

P&O WiFi packages cover you while on board. Before you set sail and during land stops, Holafly keeps you connected.

With Holafly, you can stay connected before and after your cruise with just an eSIM-compatible phone

Your best option is to use Holafly Plans, as this monthly subscription offers coverage in more than 170 destinations, so no matter where you go, unlimited data will travel with you.

You also get access to the Always On lifetime benefit, meaning you also get the Always On lifetime benefit, giving you 1 GB of data in 70 destinations even after your plan ends.

FAQs
