Entel Chile eSIM

Entel Chile offers eSIMs, available to locals and travelers alike, with travelers only having access to prepaid ones.

Travelers need to visit an official Entel Chile store, such as the Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez airport store, to get a prepaid plan and ask a customer support representative to activate it with an eSIM, not a SIM card.

The only two requirements are that the mobile phone be eSIM-compatible and that a valid ID be shown to activate the eSIM.

Note: If you buy a prepaid Entel Chile SIM card, you can turn it into an eSIM by downloading the Entel app and completing identity verification.

Entel Chile eSIM price and plans

Entel Chile offers five prepaid plans available in physical stores for travelers.

Here’s what you need to know about the available plans:

• Limited data plans: Range from CLP $500 to CLP $8,000 (~$0.60 to $8.40 USD), with up to 20 GB, up to 500 minutes per month, and validity from 2 to 30 days.
• Unlimited data plans: Range from CLP $990 to CLP $5,690 (~$1.05 to $5.98 USD) with unlimited calls included. Validity ranges from 1 to 7 days.

Note: Ente offers discounts for purchasing their plans online, but these are only available to locals, not travelers.

Entel Peru eSIM

Like Entel Chile, Entel Peru offers an eSIM for travelers, and the process is similar.

All travelers need to visit a physical Entel Peru store to get and activate an eSIM plan; all are prepaid.

The only two requirements for travelers to get an Entel Peru eSIM are to show a valid ID and have an eSIM-compatible phone.

With Entel Peru, you can use either Prepago Power or Plan Flexible, which use a top-up system ranging from S/3 to S/49.

Here’s what you need to know about each plan:

• Plan Flexible: Ranges from S/5 to S/49 (~$1.50 to $14.60 USD), with 6.5 GB to 44 GB, unlimited calls, and unlimited usage on specific apps. Validity ranges from 5 to 30 days.
• Prepago Power: Ranges from S/3 to S/29 (~$0.90 to $8.65 USD), with 200 MB to 29.5 GB of data, unlimited calls, and unlimited usage on specific apps. Validity ranges from 2 to 30 days. These are activated by accepting the on-screen pop-up message.

Entel Bolivia eSIM

Entel Bolivia also offers an eSIM, available to locals and travelers alike, with a similar activation and purchase process.

Travelers who want to get an Entel Bolivia eSIM need to visit a physical store, show a valid ID, and have an eSIM-compatible phone to activate it.

Entel will also register your IMEI number in line with their current mobile regulations, so keep this in mind for future trips.

Entel Bolivia offers a variety of prepaid plans, but some only cover phone calls and text messages, with no data included.

Travelers need to get an “Internet Móvil Prepago” package, which is activated by dialing *10# or via the Entel App.

Here’s what you need to know about the available packages:

• Megas PRO packages: Range from Bs3 to Bs50 (~$0.30 to $4.40 USD), with 800 MB to 14 GB, unlimited WhatsApp usage, and 24 hours to 30 days validity.
• Ilimitados PRO packages: Range from Bs6 to Bs120 (~$0.50 to $10.20 USD), with unlimited data, up to 30 minutes for calls, Entel Gol access, and validity periods from 24 hours to 30 days.
• Basic packages: Range from Bs2 to Bs3 (~$0.16 to $0.26 USD), with 200 MB to 350 MB, and valid for 24 hours.
• Navegador packages: Range from Bs10 to Bs100 (~$0.90 to $8.70 USD), with 1 GB to 13 GB of data, unlimited WhatsApp, up to 15 minutes of calls, and valid for 5 to 30 days.
