Carnival offers three internet packages available to buy for the entire cruise pre-trip, or daily on board. Plus, there’s an internet package designed for up to 4 devices.
Plans start at $22 per day, per person, and increase as you choose a more comprehensive service, but you can get discounts based on when you book.

How much does Carnival internet cost?
Carnival Cruise internet packages are available on a pay-per-use basis, ranging from $22 to $28 per device, per person. However, these must be purchased for the entire cruise.
There’s a multi-device plan available as well, which costs $90 and works on up to 4 devices. Similar to one-device plans, this must be bought for the entire cruise.
However, these prices can change in the following ways:
- If purchased before the cruise, travelers can save up to 15% by purchasing before sailing.
- If purchased during the cruise, only the Value and Premium plans are available, priced from $28 to $35 per device, per day.

Carnival internet packages
Internet packages for Carnival Cruises work differently, each one focusing on specific activities.
Here’s how they work and what each one includes:
- Social Wi-Fi Plan: Ideal for accessing social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, LinkedIn, and similar platforms. Access to other websites, streaming services, and calling services isn’t included.
- Value Wi-Fi Plan: Includes all Social Wi-Fi Plan benefits, with faster connection speeds, and access to email, internet browsing, and news. Doesn’t support video streaming.
- Premium Wi-Fi Plan: Includes all benefits from Value and Social plans, with three times faster internet speeds. Includes access to streaming platforms and voice and video calls. This plan is included with the multi-device plan.
- Value bundle packages: Carnival also offers the Essentials Value and Ultimate Value packages for 2026 sailings, which bundle WiFi alongside drinks, dining, and other extras in a single pre-cruise purchase. If you were already planning to add extras to your sailing, these bundles may work out better value than buying a WiFi plan separately.
Keep in mind that pre-cruise plans must be bought for the entire duration of the cruise; these aren’t available on a pay-as-you-go basis unless you’re already onboard.
How does Carnival’s internet package work?
Here is what to know about connecting, using, and getting the most out of Carnival’s internet packages on board.
- How to connect: Turn on airplane mode, then turn your WiFi on. Connect to the “Carnival WiFi” network and log in using your folio information, which is found on the Sail & Sign card.
- Where you can use it: Carnival WiFi packages are available only on board. During land stops, it’s better to have an eSIM to stay connected without limitations.
- When it kicks in: Travelers can use Carnival WiFi the moment they board.
- How strong it is: While Carnival internet plans offer a reliable connection, speeds may vary depending on weather conditions and distance, especially when deep at sea.
- VPN and restrictions: VPN connections are not supported on any Carnival internet plan. Certain sites are also blocked, including adult and violent content. If you need a VPN for work, check with your IT department before sailing, as Carnival cannot adjust these settings on board.
- Maritime roaming: Mobile operators such as Verizon and AT&T offer at-sea roaming, but it’s usually limited in terms of data and costs more than traditional roaming.
Alternatives to paying for Carnival internet
If you feel like Carnival’s internet packages are not what you need, here are some alternatives you can consider:
