What are HolaCoins and how do they work?
HolaCoins are exclusive reward points from Holafly. You can earn them every time you refer a friend or make eligible purchases, and then redeem them for Holafly discounts on future orders on our App. It’s that simple! In this article, we’ll guide you through how to earn and use your HolaCoins, so you can start saving for your next trip.
A few things to know before you refer
To qualify for rewards, both you and your referral need to meet a few simple conditions:
- You’ll earn HolaCoins only when the person you invite is new to Holafly and completes their first purchase. They’ll also get 5% off that order.
- Your referral’s first order needs to be at least $10 USD after discounts for you to receive HolaCoins. Smaller purchases won’t count toward rewards.
- Make sure to use only one Holafly account when referring friends. Creating multiple accounts while using the same device, IP, or payment method can prevent you from earning HolaCoins.
- If you close or delete your Holafly account, any pending redemptions or unclaimed rewards will be lost.
- HolaCoins are not earned on Monthly, Annual, or Business plans.
How to earn Holacoins?
At Holafly, your loyalty earns rewards. Every time you use our eSIMs or refer a friend, you are one step closer to earning HolaCoins. But that is not all. For every HolaCoin you collect, you will also earn 1 Level Point. The more you collect, the closer you get to unlocking better rewards.
Track your points in your Holafly account and get closer to a discount on your next purchase. HolaCoins are earned only on eSIMs that are valid for a fixed period and do not renew automatically (one-time purchases). Monthly and business plans are not eligible for this reward. Here's how you can earn these exclusive points:
1. Refer Holafly to your friends and earn together
For every friend who makes their first purchase using your referral link, you’ll earn 500 HolaCoins (€5), and they’ll get 5% off their first order. Everyone wins!
Steps to refer a friend and earn HolaCoins:
- Open theHolafly App → Tap on Holacoins → Go to the Refer friends section and tap there → Then, tap the Share your code button to send it directly to your contacts, or copy your unique code to paste it on your favorite platforms.
Note: To ensure you both receive the rewards, your friend must open the link you shared and buy directly through it, or paste the code in the 'Discount code' section.
2. Make a purchase for any destination and earn HolaCoins:
When you purchase an eSIM for any destination, you'll receive 5% of what you paid in HolaCoins. This is a type of cashback that will be reflected in your Holafly account, which you can use for future purchases. For example, if you buy an eSIM for Europe with unlimited data for 10 days at €34.00 EUR, you'll automatically receive €1.70 EUR in Holacoins (170 points). That way, you can enjoy a Holafly discount on your next purchase!
To keep in mind
- Your HolaCoins will appear in your account once your referral has successfully activated their Holafly eSIM.
- The Holacoins you earn accumulate, so the more you use Holafly, the more points you can get! They have no expiration date, so save them for when you need them.
- If you have HolaCoins, you are going to see them available in your Holafly app.
- Make sure you really want to use them for that specific purchase, as this action cannot be reversed or refunded.
- HolaCoins are personal and cannot be sold or transferred to other accounts.
- HolaCoins cannot be combined with any other discounts, promotional codes, or marketing campaigns.
How to redeem HolaCoins?
It’s easy! Just follow these simple steps on the Holafly app to redeem your HolaCoins for discounts and save on your next purchase.
To redeem your HolaCoins:
- Open the Holafly App → Tap on Holacoins → Go to "Discounts" → Tap Go to shop button → Choose your destination and days of your Trip eSIM, and proceed to checkout → There, switch on the Use HolaCoins toggle → Once you confirm the discount is applied, fill in your details to complete your purchase.
Note: You cannot choose a custom amount of HolaCoins to spend; the system automatically applies what is needed for your purchase, and any remaining balance stays in your account.
Troubleshooting tips
- If you didn’t receive your HolaCoins for referring a friend, make sure it's their first purchase with Holafly. Points are only awarded when the referred friend makes their first purchase.
- Be sure to switch on the HolaCoins toggle during checkout. If you miss it, your purchase will be processed at full price, and the discount won’t be applied.
- If you didn’t use your HolaCoins on your purchase, don’t worry! They will remain saved in your account balance, completely safe and ready to be redeemed on any future purchase.
