Holafly has appointed Javier Cabrerizo as its new Chief Executive Officer as the company prepares for its next stage of global growth, following several years of rapid international expansion.
The appointment follows an executive search launched earlier this year to find the right CEO. That search led to Cabrerizo, who was already working closely with Holafly as an external advisor and had spent several months alongside its founders and leadership team, gaining first-hand knowledge of the business before taking on the CEO role.
Cabrerizo brings more than two decades of experience leading international businesses through periods of growth and transformation. Before joining Holafly, he served as CEO of Prosegur Alarms, after previously holding the roles of Global Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Oracle and Unidad Editorial, with experience across technology, digital transformation and international expansion.
The appointment comes at an important moment for Holafly, as the company has now sold more than 25 million eSIMs worldwide and serves travellers across more than 200 destinations. As Holafly continues to grow internationally, the priority is simple: build a stronger company while keeping its customer focus and the promise at the heart of the brand, giving travellers peace of mind wherever they go.

After several months working closely with the team, Cabrerizo already knew the company he was joining: “I’m taking on this role with a great sense of responsibility and enormous enthusiasm. As CEO, Cabrerizo will lead Holafly with the ambition to make travel easier and continue giving travellers total peace of mind throughout their journey, with Holafly taking care of the things travellers should not have to worry about.
